When I Move Home
First the curtains at the window I'll hang, Then put up the dishes and the furniture arrange. Set up the bed with nice fresh, clean sheets. Then stock the fridge with groceries we need.
Water my flowers in my nice big front yard, I imagine by then I'll be getting real tired. So my lawn chairs I will set up, Put on the coffee and get us a cup.
Sit out on the deck as the sun goes down, Watching the windmill as the spindles go round. I'll start up the smoker with BBQ briquettes, Go to the fridge and two T-bones I'll get.
Right after dinner, some Burgundy wine, To wait for the stars and the moon to shine. Before I sleep the most important thing, Glory to God I will then sing.
Then as we rise in the dawns early light, Sit out on the deck and marvel the sights. There will be some deer in the near woods edge, They'll be looking back from under the hedge.
The deer is not the only creatures I'll see, Squirrels will be running in and out of the trees. I'll see the ground hog crossing the road, From the old hotel to get out of the cold.
Then the wrens will start building their nests, And the blue birds, and red birds and all the rest. I know my first day will be very full, But not a minute there will ever be dull.
So that's how my first day I will spend. So I ask the Lord His blessings to send.
