Put Up Your Keys

I don't judge, I only plead,
I only ask my words you heed.

I won't tell you not to drink,
I only ask of you to think.

Before behind a wheel you get,
Think of others, don't forget.

It's not just your life at stake,
Think of lives that you could take.

If you drink, stay in your home,
So someone else won't be alone.

Maybe your family or your friends,
The pain that's caused will never mend.

No peace of mind will you ever get,
If you kill someone you've not met.

So I must give to you my voice,
But you alone, must make the choice.

I pray to God we all survive,
If you decide to drink and drive.

I ask of you, please understand,
Think first of your fellow man.

Some people would lose their minds,
If they're left alone behind.

God alone will judge our deeds,
Before you drink-put up your keys.
