Always a very care free child
Only a teen when we first met
He needed so to see your smile
Though your minds already set
You both so very young at heart
Even as the children came along
But soon the fights was to start
I feared for both it was wrong
Personalities to always clash
Though you couldn`t stay apart
A marriage headed into a crash
It left two lonely broken hearts
Just back and forth to and fro
It was new disasters everyday
Just where was your love to go
I could but only kneel and pray
Then as so many years went by
Together a week the next apart
Many tears I watched both cry
Etched together in your hearts
For years it was ups and downs
The good just out weighed a bad
I hope the same you have found
At you I just could not stay mad
You hold a place inside my heart
We taught each other many things
No matter how far we were apart
You still pulled at my heart strings
As my own I watched you grow
I will love you until my dying day
God was here with us both I know
Together we came a very long way
