| Consumed In Hate Many today are gripped with fear, Wondering if the sniper is near. He's in control of everyones lives, Only very few of his victims survive. A haunting message each day he sends, Law enforcement is at their wits end. Put gas in your car or go out to eat, He will shoot anyone on their feet. You go to school or just to the store, He sits silently in wait outside the door. I wonder who the next victim will be, It could be you or maybe even me. He travels a highway most everyday, Searching carefully for his next prey. When will this killer ever be sustained? Is he a terrorist or someone insane? How could anyone find so much joy When so many lives he has destroyed? We hope soon he'll be hung by a noose, This terrible sniper thats on the loose. I pray to God no more people will die, As this monster waits for us to walk by. Nine are dead now to this very date, By the hands of a sniper consumed in hate. Update: It's now four days later-another has died, It might even be three-they can't decide. Prayers are answered-it's come to an end. So thanksgiving to God today we send.
