A Town Called Zodiac

When I was only sixteen years old
I got married and with him moved home.
With his mom and dad we lived a year.
And it wasn't long before I loved them dear.
Two sweeter people I've never met.
And their memory I'll never forget.
They treated me just like their own,
And welcomed me inside their home.
It was a mile back through the trees,
And there were made lots of memories.
It had been a town in years gone past.
But the log cabin where we lived was the last
There's twelve springs on that place,
With each the water of a different taste.
And a huge rock spreads over the ground,

Where we all had carved our names around
The whippoorwills echoed through the night
Until the mornings early light.
But now just brush and trees pave the way,
And only foundations are left there today.
Never a more precious place I've found,
As where once stood Zodiac town.
Now mom and dad have passed away,
But forever their memories will stay.
So I want to thank the Lord right now.
For the years He gave me in Zodiac town.
Many babies were born in that place,
It's where I first saw my first borns face.
I know the memories will always remain,
In Zodiac for our eternal days.
