My Favorite Grandchild
A grandchild is so much delight, They give me kisses and hold me tight.
From eyes of blue to eyes of brown, You're all so special I have found.
In puddles of mud we have splashed, From planting flowers to cutting grass.
When I held you on my knee, I sang to you, you sang to me.
For all those secrets I hold so dear, That you whispered in my ear.
Now I just want you all to know, That all of your giggles I love so.
Each of you have a special part, Of my love and in my heart.
You've not always seen me at my best, In garden clothes and hair a mess.
I hope to you I brought no shame, I know you loved me, just the same.
When you're not here to be with me, I have your pictures for me to see.
And when I go to Gods domain, Remember we will meet again.
For I'll be watching from above, And sending you all my love.
You're all my favorite, don't you see? And I treasure your love for me.
So remember to pray to God above, Because he gave me you to love.
