A Mothers Dream

When I fell asleep last night,
I had a dream, a wonderous sight.
For in my dream, I had no cares.
And all my kids were standing there.

I had not seen this for so long,
Them all together in my home.
I can't believe it went this far.
To make their lives a constant spar.

All the anger they have had,
Has broken my heart and made me sad.
I need them here.  Don't they see?
All together.  To be with me.

I can't take sides, I hope they find,
For I will only lose my mind.
If in my dreams is all I see
With my children here with me.

And there is no peace between them all,
Then back to sleep I want to fall.
