Pictures of You

Today I take your pictures off the wall,
It doesn't mean I don't love you all.
It breaks my heart, I hope you see,
Because you all mean so much to me.

I just can't keep them dusted and clean,
So in an album they'll have to be.
My walls are covered with your lives,
So this really hurts me deep inside.

When you see my walls so bare,
Please remember, it's because I care.
Dust on your face, I can't bear to see,
So for awhile it will have to be.

I've always treasured my pictures so,
It's been my way to watch you grow.
When I'm alone and oh, so blue,
They always helped to get me through.

I get depressed when I see the dust,
On the faces that I love so much.
So I pray to God you understand,
As I keep my albums close at hand.

And I'll ask the Lord to help me through,
As I put away all my pictures of you.
