I'd Walk A Mile

You are all grown up today,
But there's something I want to say.

As I carried you each so long,
I was worried something could go wrong.

I felt your tiny lives inside,
I felt so much joy and pride.

Then when you were in my arms,
I truly felt that I'd been charmed.

With your skin so soft to my touch,
I loved you all, so very much.

I counted little fingers and toes,
And kissed your little turned up nose.

I couldn't sleep the whole night through,
For I could only think of you.

Then I knew, I'd walk a mile
Just to see your precious smile.

So now I thank our Lord above,
For giving me you all to love.
