Our Fathers Care

To my loved ones now deceased,
I pray you all will rest in peace.
To lose someone so close to you,
Can really break your heart in two.
Such a blur those days can be,
Until the Lord sets us free.
We lose the will to be alive,
We think no more can we survive.
To see their picture in a room,
Fills our hearts with so much gloom.
Oh, the pain those weeks can bring,
As in our ears their voices ring.
A face forever etched in our minds,
As we remember the last time,
That we talked and laughed with joy.
The time we fought over a silly toy.
The pain will never go away,
But it does ease throughout the days.
Though everyday is a test,
We must remember all the best.
But soon one day we will rejoice,
When in our ears we hear a voice.
When they tell us, "do not dispair,
Now I'm in our Fathers care."
