Blessing In Disquise
He is so confused, this I can see, Wondering what has happened to me. I really don't know what to do, Because this also has me confused. He even tells me I've lost my mind, Because of this poetry I now write. I had never had this gift before, So he's wondering what's next in store. I know to him this is so new, When I'm writing to all of you. He gets so lonely when I write, He says I'm ignoring him at night. I pray someday he'll like my words, But for a critic, he is my worst. And my poetry he still resents. To me it's a miracle God has sent. I feel I have something for my strife, For the first time in my life. I've been disabled for several years, Which has caused me many tears. Writing poetry I feel some worth, It helps me survive this great earth. I hope someday he'll realize, It's really a blessing in disquise.
