A  HUMMINGBIRD

The hummingbird is a beautiful sight,
I love to watch them all in flight.
Their wings look like crystal glass,
Their bodies feel like a velvet mass.
I sit for hours and watch them play,
In my yard through out the day.
As they flap their wings in flight,
It is such a wondrous sight.
At times they zoom right by my nose,
Here they come, and there they go!
I know that others feel like me,
For on front porches, feeders, I see.
Yes, I have them on my porch.
Sometimes in flocks they will swarm,
When they're at play I love to see,
They dive bomb each other by the tree.
And when I plant flowers in the spring,
I plant ones I know will bring,

Those beautiful creatures back again.
So another summer together we`ll spend,
I know in His infinite wisdom above,
He sent us these glorious birds to love.
I pray God will keep their flight home safe,
So with them I can spend my summer days.
