Scars For Life
Some children can be so very cruel, With their classmates from their school. They say we all have the same chance, For graduation or attending the prom dance. I'm here to say that it's not true, For so many think they're better than you. They laughed at all the clothes I'd wear, And even the way I brushed my hair. I was never invited into the crowd, Because they just didn't want me around. I wanted so much a friend to have, So everyday I wouldn't feel so bad. They made nasty remarks and jumped away, If I even got near them everyday. And all of my dignity they took away, So I will never forget those awful days. And so my grades just kept going down, I just couldn't concentrate I found. I wish so much that now they see, During those years what they did to me. So parents, as you try with all your might, To raise your kids to turn out right. Please teach them all respect to have, For all the other children in their class. So the other kids won't have to deal, With hurtful scars that won't ever heal. And, please, teach your children to always pray, So they will learn our Fathers ways.
