Dear Lord, please help me through
This painful day, I lean on you.
One day at a time, I have to live,
Relief for my pain I ask you to give.
If by chance the pain's still there,
I ask you to keep me in your care.
All this strife I have today,
I ask that you will take away.
Some peace of mind I need so much,
My life today I ask you to touch.
Lord, I pray to you almost every day,
Please understand the words I say.
For I always worry I'm not praying right,
So please keep me Lord, in your sight,
Sometimes I feel I'm not good enough,
For you to send to me your love.
When I get so alone and blue,
I need your love to get me through.
I ask you Lord, please stay with me,
Because your light I need to see.
Please give me strength, oh Lord, I pray
Just get me through this painful day.
