Feedback Mini Project 1

For the year 2001 Pick up 10 pieces of litter in your local area and dispose of them  appropriately.  Do this once a month for the whole of this year.

It is hoped that each Member will make an attempt at this Mini Project.  You are not required to make any special arrangements, just do it at a time to suit you.  Encourage members of your family to do it too - in this way we can ensure that our local area is a little bit cleaner every month. Enjoy this activity - select a pleasant day, and chose to clean up somewhere that you enjoy visiting.  If you live near a beach and like to walk along it, then combine a walk with your clean up.

Safety notes.  Please wear gardening gloves with no holes in whilst picking up litter.  if you have an implement that you can use that would be even better.  Responsible disposal of litter is dependent on Local Government regulations.  Please take some time to call your Local Authority for guidance.  If you come across something that is hazardous to the environment, but cannot be removed by one person, or is dangerous to move ( used syringes is one example) please contact your Local Authority and give them details of the item/s  and their location.  They will organise someone to come and remove them safely.

This space is for Members comments, suggestions and ideas.  Please send them to the Mailing List or Email them direct. They will be uploaded as they are received.
