| The rear of Gilkicker Fort showing the
original Granite facing of the Casemate. Most of the Curved battery is
now hidden under an earth bank. This was raised to stabilize the structure
when new 9.2" guns were mounted on the
roof batteries. The building on the right is the fortified barracks.
