This page is still under construction and will grow over time. So, don't be too disappointed that it is fairly empty. The first project I am about to embark on will be sample translations for the standard Latin course taught at German universities. Presently, there are only a few pages ready but as soon as I find the time I will update my pages and provide sample translations for the entire course from unit 1 up to unit 23 (please have a little patience). In the meantime you might just as well busy yourselves with leaving an entry in my guestbook or you may want to read one or the other thought of mine that I have brought into the form of an academic paper. By now little has changed as far as the texts for Tedium Latinum are concerned. However, I have added links to a few research topics in British and American studies. These are small in number but big in content, mind you! The topics are Concepts of Manhood in Victorian Melodrama and American topic is dealing with the representation of the city and city life in August Wilson's play Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. Besides, all who expect anything corny, lewd or in any way sexually im- or explicit will be disappointed to learn that the Black Bottom was a DANCE!
Now, some pages concerning Prof. Dr. W. Herget's lecture about The American Sense of Mission have been put online. This is neither in any way official nor has he in any way commisioned these pages.
