I have so far seen very few pages that give credit to the very talented actors that are mostly relegated to playing freaks and thugs, so I thought I'd put together one myself. The requirements of this page are simple: you must be an actor or actress over 6' 8" in height. Actors are listed from tallest to shortest, and most NBA stars are not listed (they're popular enough already). Thanks to the Internet Movie Database for most of the data, and Jim Ebon for helping with the Star Trek data.
It was hard to determine the minimum height, there are several actors just short of this limit that deserve credit. Ryan Stiles from The Drew Carey Show in particular comes to mind, however at 6' 6" he is only a half inch taller than I am; and I have to draw the line somewhere!

Jack
Earle
They don't come much taller than this. I have very little information
on this man, but I do know he has appeared in four movies; all taking place
in the 1920's. He was at one time billed the world's tallest man.
(and I believe it!)

Johann
Peterson
Johann was apparently from Iceland and had a website devoted to him (I don't know if it still exists). He appeared in the 1980 film Carny as the giant along with Garey Busey. I am told he was also featured on a Guinness World Records video. His actual height comes from a visitor to my page, who revealed that the 1982 Guinness Book of World Records lists the above as his height. I am now making plans to track down Carny so I can see Johann for myself!

Invaders From Mars | Mutant serving "Intelligence" |
The Incredible Shrinking Man | Giant (scenes deleted) |
Lost In A Harem | Tall Harem Guard (uncredited) |
Gheorghe Muresan
Ok, so I made an exception. Muresan is best known for being
an NBA athlete, however he recently made his film debut next to Billy Crystal
in "My Giant." I just saw the movie, and I agree with Roger Ebert
who says he has a talent for acting. I have no other information
than this, except that he is from Romania as his character was in the movie.
Movie/TV Show | Role |
My Giant | Max |
The Mask Of Zorro | Giant Spanish Sailor |
Jorge Gonzales
Best known as the wrestlers Giant Gonzales and El Gigante, Jorge
is from Argentina. He has only starred in two movies to my knowledge,
"Thunder In Paradise" and "Hercules In The Underworld" (opposite Kevin
Sorbo).

Thunder In Paradise | Unknown |
Hercules In The Underworld | Eryx |
Sandy Allen
At 7' 7 1/4," Sandy has been confirmed as the worlds tallest living woman. She has appeared in a video called It's OK To Be Different, and was apparently on the November 27, 1998 Sally Jesse Raphael show. She has also appeared on the shows of Maury Povich, Oprah, Jerry Springer, Howard Stern, and Liza Gibbons. Her film credits include Fellini's Casanova and Sideshow. She has a website here.

Peter
Mayhew
Best known for his role in the Star Wars movies, this actor had a relatively short career. From an interview a few years back, I believe it was said that he is now a carpenter in England, but I could be wrong.

Please see the Richard Kiel tribute page for information on this actor.
Kevin Peter Hall
I have been slowly discovering more and more about this actor, and
I have found out enough to know that he died tragically in 1991 from the
AIDS virus, which was contracted through a blood transfusion. He
was a basketball player through high school, and was married to actress
Alaina Reed whom he met on the set of 227. He is most famous
for his role in the Predator movies, but equally well known as Harry in
"Harry and the Hendersons." Full filmography to come.

Predator | Predator |
Predator 2 | Predator |

Paul Wight
Also a wrestler, Paul Wight has only made one film I know of - Jingle All The Way. He is best known as WCW wrestling's the Giant.
William Engesser
William has appeared in only one film to my knowledge: Gator, starring Burt Reynolds. His height is a guess, and I have no other information on him.
7' 1"
Shaquille
O'Neal
OK, so I decided to give Shaq some credit. He has been in two movies that I know of: Kazaam and Steel.
Garry Robbins
I know very little about this actor, not much is on the web about
him, but he has done almost as much work as Tiny Ron. His height
is only an estimate from one episode of Due South, and I would appreciate
additional information.

Tiny Ron
This actor has made a surprising number of movies, and is very talented.
He started out as a professional basketball player, but then eventually
got interested in acting. I look forward to seeing him in future
movies.

Carel Struycken
I don't know his actual height, so this is my best guess. From
Holland, Carel is also very talented, and excells at playing huge, silent,
scary people. He is best known as Lurch from both Addams Family movies.

I know very little about this actor beyond the fact that he
appears alongside Tiny Ron in the the episode of Star Trek: Deep Space
Nine entitled Profit and Lace. He plays the character
Uri'Lash, bodyguard of the Ferengi Brunt. His height is an estimate
based on a visual comparison between him and Tiny Ron. He has been
in a couple of movies, but I don't know which beyond that one of them is
a Frankenstein movie.
Movie/TV Show | Role |
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Profit & Lace | Uri'Lash |

Vincent Hammond
This actor has been in few movies and I have no pictures or any idea
of his height. However, if you want to know what he looks like, move
down to the picture of The Undertaker: they could be twins! (Maybe
they are; oooooeeeeeooooo!) He recently starred along with Brent
Spiner in one episode of The Outer Limits.

Mark Calloway
As The Undertaker, this is probably the most intimidating WWF wrestler ever, but few people know that he has some acting experience. He has appeared in "Suburban Commando" with Hulk Hogan as one of the bounty hunters, and one other film I don't know the name of.
6' 10"
John DeSantis
This very talented actor seems to have just gotten started in the business, and has made no movies to my knowledge. He may be appearing in the upcoming release The 13th Warrior, but this may be incorrect. For now, you can catch him in FOX's The New Addams Family. I am only guessing at his height.
Ted Cassidy
This actor was made famous in such roles as Lurch from the original
Addams Family TV series and two appearances in the original Star Trek series.
Tragically, he died in 1979 as a result of complications from heart surgery.

Kevin Nash
Another wrestler, Nash has gotten very little time on the big screen. He appeared as a warrior on the sitcom "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and in the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze" as Super Shredder.
Tom Lister, Jr.
This actor had a very limited wrestling career, and never really
made it big in the squared circle. Nevertheless, he has appeared
in countless movies; once co-starring with fellow giant actors Richard
Moll and Richard Kiel in "Think Big." I also do not know his actual
height, so this is a guess. He is probably more like 6'9" or 6' 8."
