The following names are family members or lines we are trying to locate. If you have any information on any of these people, or want to ask for more information, we will happily respond to your request. John Van Buskirk LEABO - (b. Jun. 1836) married Mary Elizabeth OLDS (b. 1864). They had a son Edward Isaac LEABO (b. 9 Dec 1881) who married Elizabeth DOUGHTON (b. 1 Apr 1833) in May 1907. Isaac was born in Sedan, KS. From our research we think John Van Buskirk Leabo may be John D. Leabo (b. 19 June 1836) the son of Josiah Leabo and Sarah Van Buskirk. We also have information on a John V. Leabo b. circa 1840 who married Molly Kate Olds b. circa 1845. If anyone has more information on this line, please help us. POLLARDS - We are searching for the parents of Caleb Crane POLLARD. We do not have any more information on him or his wife Katherine STENGEL except they had a daughter Claire Crane POLLARD (b. 22 Nov 1890) in Elizabeth, NJ who married Hilliard Gibbs Bain, son of William Bain and Sophia Hillyard. Caleb was orphaned and may have been brought up by relatives. Hilliard was born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, 18 Jan 1891. Katherine had a sister Ethie STENGEL who may not have married. Unknown WINCHESTER - His children include Moses, Aaron, William, Royal, Augustus, Edmund, Sarah, Marinda and Barney. With a family like that surely we could locate the father and mother! It is said that he may be related to the Duke of Winchester, and probably came from Winchester, England in the early or mid-1700's. Rev. Dr. Henry MANDEVILLE and Harriet KIRTLAND - Had a son Dr. Dorrance Kirkland Mandeville. Who were Henry's parents and Harriet's parents? Could it be that Harriet's name was Harriet DORRANCE? A little help for our friends... How about a little help for another researcher, Janae Murray who is looking for John Desmond MURRAY b. abt. 1900-01 in Ill. married Pearl LYONS from California. They resided in Whittier, CA in 1934 where John was a fireman for the City of Whittier. They had 3 children: Robert Lee MURRAY b. 1930, Margaret b. 1932 and John Arleigh MURRAY b. 1934. John Desmond MURRAY was in WWII and when he returned, he relocated in the state of Washington (the family has not heard of him since). If you have any info contact Janae at [email protected].
