Anyway, Any of you guys reading this, please, if you have your story to tell about how you came to know about the Three Investigators, please (again), mail me. That way I can put it up on my site. This site is for that purpose... Getting T3i fans input about the books. I also sincerely hope you guys out there like my style of designing. Anyway, enjoy yourself. Bye for today...

I'm still on the computer. Just completed the Welcome Page. Plans are there to write to Chandu to ask him about his article. Martha has offered more drawings. Thanks to her. Philip is working on a game. And I think I'm going back to my work. Okay? Okay... Check out my discourse for today: weekly discourse which I just completed. I'm starting work on the digital gallery now and hope to complete it today.

Boooooom!!! Grrrr!!! I've been trying for ten minutes now but still my internet is not connecting properly. Damn! (Okay, I'm sorry I said that). Truthfully, why is Internet so slow and costly in India? I get so pissed off when the Internet becomes slow. I have to send so many important e-mails. Anyway, below is a copy of the letters I sent out to different T3i fans:

I'm in trouble. Why can't I work in peace? My mom just came into the room to persuade me to go and study. I know she's right. She said I can't be working on the computer all day. Anyway, I have football (soccer) practice at 11 o'clock. Anyway, I hope to continue this in the afternoon. I call my mom's advise fille-osophy because they always seem to fill me with a sense of responsibility. Gotta run... Bye...

19th July 2001 (12:34 a.m. IST)

Yawn!!!

Well, I'm back. Had to finish writing this. A lot to do in school. Man, I'm bushed. You should see me. All red-eyed. Well, this is all I can manage to scribble. Byeeee.

19th July 2001 (1:30 p.m. IST)

I couldn't sleep. I wanted to tell you guys something about Internet responsibility. I think I should include this in the discussion forum.

Freedom for All

We are very fortunate to live in such an age when freedom, our birthright, has been given such importance. Indeed, we should be very, very grateful. A hundred years ago, well, around the world, the majority of countries did not have this vital right. Imagine living in a country where you could be arrested for speaking the 'wrong things' about a King or a Queen, for that matter. Anyway, enough of the past. Let us all look, not at the future, but at the present.

Everything that is happening is NOW. And you know what, the great thing is that we have the Freedom, the Independence, the Right to express ourselves without being sent to the gallows for what we believe in. No one can take away this right. No one has that power. However, we must keep in mind that Freedom comes with responsibilities and this applies for all, even the people who lead Nations. They must safeguard this special right, without going against the Respect Freedom gets. And so, people, please, please, understand, we can do what we want, but, but it must be done with care, keeping in mind the welfare and feelings of others.

Our brave freedom fighters laid down their very lives for the freedom of my, our, country, India. And we should be grateful for this right. Remember the USSR? Well imagine how you would feel if gun-totting soldiers picked you up and sent you to a 'Gulag' for the next three decades for joking about the Premiere in a pub. Hello! It was like that fifty years back, but anyway, Remember to use your freedom wisely, with responsibility, or I do hope you get picked up by gun-totting soldiers to be sent to a prison camp for the rest of your life. Okay. That's all then.

Well, I think I typed crap, but I'm falling sleepy again and so bye, bye!!!

The Web

Hurray! A new era has begun. An era of technology and more importantly innovations thrust on us by the geniuses who created the Internet. Wow! So many things can be achieved through the internet. And God bless the creation of e-mails. Fast, reliable and very cheap too. The Internet or you can call it, the 'Web' has changed our lives.

A host of functions can be performed on the Web like e-mailing, shopping (even for day to day groceries), commerce and business, and personal undertakings. The Web certainly has changed my life. Because of search engines, I managed to locate very good sites on my favorite mystery series: The Three Investigators. Apart from that, I even made new friends from U.S.A. The Internet is perhaps the largest storehouse of information and therefore, my school projects have certainly become easier to do. And this site has become a reality too because of inspiration obtained from the Internet.

Good sites like freshlimesoda.com and zatang.com have really been innovative, with reference to expressing one's views freely. This is a site based on similar lines. A kind of a place where a collection of thoughts is displayed for expanding our minds to reflect on new subjects of discussion. I believe this is essential to everyone, as everyone has that need to express their thoughts and where can you find a better place than the Internet. Anyway, that was the point really of composing this article. Please keep all that is written in mind.

Above is a short essay which I think sums up a lot about the Internet. Enjoy reading it.

My dear friends,

'Time is such an important thing, watch it fly by as the pendulum swings'.

No way. Don't ever waste your time. Dedicate yourself to your work always. This will automatically increase your happiness, but, when you do get bushed, take a break. So keep this in mind, I designed the above rhyme for you, which of course, applies to me too.

Bye.

Basil
