SURIA KLCC

At the foot of the PETRONAS Twin Towers, the six-storey Suria KLCC is not your average neighbourhood mall. Housing over 320 high-end local and international retailers, brands represented include Coach, Kate Spade and Jimmy Choo. Divided into three sections (Ampang Mall, Park Mall and Ramlee Mall), anchor tenants include major department stores Isetan, Parkson Grand and Marks & Spencer.

Entertainment-wise, here you can find key KL tourist attractions such as Petrosains, a science discovery centre targeted at kids, plus Dewan Filharmonik Orkestra (Malaysia’s first concert hall) and the Petronas Art Gallery. A light rail transit (LRT) station set adjacent to the building makes Suria KLCC easy to reach, plus there is a bridge on the Concourse Level that leads to Aquaria KLCC and Traders Hotel.

AVENUE K

Another outstanding shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur’s line-up of retail offerings, Avenue K is a lifestyle complex located along Jalan Ampang just next door to Suria KLCC. Easily accessible via train, with a connecting bridge linking it to the KLCC LRT station, the six-storey complex has a friendly yet exclusive feel to it.

Its roster of labels include designer brands such as Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein, Gucci and Hugo Boss, as well as mid-range marques like H&M, Cotton On and Muji.

ISETAN

Whether you are looking for men or women’s fashions, Japanese department store Isetan certainly appeals, with clothing, accessory and home furnishing selections. Occupying five floors spread across 23225sqm, it is widely regarded as a fashion store, with labels such as BCBG, DKNY and Salvatore Ferragamo represented. One of Suria KLCC’s anchor tenants, it is one of only three outlets of this department store in Malaysia.

Its gourmet food market on the ground floor sees the most foot traffic – though it retails products similar to that of a supermarket, it has a delicatessen section dedicated to fresh food which you can have packaged to take away. Popular with the office-going crowd, particularly during the weekdays, there is a sushi counter and Japanese bento boxed meals, plus soup and others.
