| Another extremely popular hairstyle of today is long locks that fall down the back. This style was very prevalent in the 1970s as well, and has no resurfaced again. In most cases the long hairstyle is natural, but for women that do not have the patience to let their own locks grow, or have the need for a quick change, there are options: extensions or investing in a good wig (see figure 14 for a before and after shot of a women who felt the need for extensions for cosmetic reason) For those wishing to go through the process of extensions, there are a few ways in which they are achieved. Extensions are applied in a few distinct ways, fusion (or strand by strand), weaving, bonding, or with clip ins. Fusion is a process done strand by strand in small sections. Using heated adhesive sticks made for extensions placed in a glue gun. Extension hair is added directly to your own hair. Your hair lies over the top for a natural look. [see figure 12] While weaving is where you create a corn row or track around the head and close to the scalp and [The] extension hair is sewn on the tracks [and] your own hair lays over the tracks for a natural look. Bonding is the easiest method. A bonding glue is applied onto the weft of the extension hair and then applied at the root of your hair. This is a temporary method(Glamourhair) Clip ins, are clips that have been sewn onto the extension hair, and are therefore easily attached and removed from the head of the wearer. In most cases, the extension hair is picked to match the natural hair colour of the wearer, but in some instances, the wearer may wish to have vibrant colours weaved into their existing hair for entertainment value. |

| Wigs are in the same fashion as extensions, but to a much lesser extent. People today wear wigs for mostly entertainment, and commercial purposes, and not with everyday use, in exception of i.e.: medical reasons such as cancer percents wishing to cover up their hair loss from treatment, and in the case of premature, or embarrassing balding. |
