S.N.M was the very first band I started, the odd name simply ment Sorry No Meaning not sadist and masacisim or anything else
S.N.M was started in 1996 with three members: Randy Greengrass (guitar), Chris Eldridge (drums), and Jay Eldridge (vocals,bass)
Jay was fired shortly after and Tim York replaced him
With Tim on vocals and bass we started to play at a local bar in St. Thomas called The Brunswik
The Brunswik was a dirty little hole so it quickly came to be a second home to S.N.M
The new line up: Randy (guitar), Chris (drums), Tim (bass/vocals)
After a camping trip/show in Port Bruce, Tim (in all his wisdom) decided to stay in Port Bruce because he met a girl
So S.N.M was left without a singer/bass player again oh my!!!!!! what to do???
We recruted Kate Turner (vocalist), Damian Wiggle (bass), and Dave Reynolds (2nd guitar)
For the first time S.N.M was a five peice band
We practiced a bit but a female singer was just not working, reluctingly we had to let her go
Kate was replaced by Brad Davids,
'97 line up: Randy (guitar), Chris (drums), Dave (guitar), Damian (bass), Kate (oh my god the vocals on that girl)
'98 line: Randy (guitar), Chris (drums), Dave (guitar), Damian (bass), Brad (guitar/vocals)
S.N.M was now ready to headline our own festival
but then Chris had to leave for New Brunswick so we got Dave Foster to replace him temporarily on drums
Alcoholapaloza was our festival on sept.'98
four bands and one DJ played at Alcoholapaloza:
Black Dawg, Kill Burn, Hall of Sulfer, DJ Kevin Foster, and S.N.M
Alcoholapaloza line up: Randy (guitar), Dave (drums), Damian (bass), Dave (guitar), Brad (guitar/vocals)
After Alcoholapaloza the only thing left to do was to record an album
We hired a manager Jay Mcormick and started to record at the Dungon (a studio I built)
In between recording sessions Jay booked us a gig at Nine Tails
We showed up for our gig at Nine Tails only to find out it was an S&M club
After that show we decided to change the band name but to what???
