At the beginning of The novel tells us about the World War 2 in a small town, probably in the Europe. There is a situation showing the condition in a house which consists of four British children and their mother. So when the atom attack the town they go outside and hide in a safe place near the house. The next day, they four are being sent by their mother to their sibling right away from the town using a train consist of many children – same reason like they’re doing, hiding.
Currently they arrive at the station, the youngest children ask “Does aunty know we’re arrived by this time before?” then suddenly someone come and ask them to pack and join her to the house. The girl they met first is an anger. She doesn’t like un-discipline child, shouting child and naught too. She’d rather to have no child in the house than shouting one. She then tells they four about the most important rule to be not break, which is disturbing the Doctor, their exactly uncle (the girl is the Doctor’s house keeper only).
Once they get to the house, they feel happy deeply. However, the rules spoken are making the bad time during the day they spend. The youngest one, Lucy, picks a game to play with her siblings – hide and found. It’s a simple game which we like to play while we were little, we hide and someone will count ‘till hundred then he/she will find us out.
Lucy looks for a nice place which fits her and also hard to be discovered, and she does find the place – a cupboard. A cupboard which some minutes ahead will show her a different world, the Narnia. She then gets in the cupboard. She looks for the edge of the cupboard and fails. Guess what she finds? A distances of land covered by white snow. She wonders why Doctor saved snows in the cupboard and trees as well. She thinks that she hides from her brother who counts, but she doesn’t know how dangerous the world she just walked in.
For a moment, she’d like to play with the snow for a bit. But then, a half body of human and goat suddenly appears and shocks about what he meets, a human, a human which has been written in the story of defeat the white witch which cursed a hundred years of snow to the land. He introduces his self to Lucy and would like to safe her from the spies of the jungle which are the witch’s follower.
Lucy is still young and doesn’t know anything yet about the strangers. She doesn’t know that the half man is kidnapping her. At a time, the man is willing to give Lucy to the leader of its creature for saving his life but then she knows that something better will come from the little girl. Then, he says to the girl to get out and never come back ‘till the Narnia is safe for the betterment. But Lucy seems like do not listen the man’s notice. She’s too happy to tell a story to their brothers and sister.
Lucy goes to the cupboard and gets out, she runs and a very impossible thing happen. The brother, Edmund, just counted ‘till a hundred while she thinks she’s been in the cupboards for couple of hours. But they do not trust Lucy because she’s too young to be trusted, she likes to imagine they think.
Time by time, they finally trust Lucy and feels sorry to her for the times they don’t. They four, are the ones who’ve been written in the story of the future. It says that someday four young men and women will rise and help Aslan defeat the witch and rebuild the culture of the Narnia which has been the stolen by the witch from the past century.
Aslan, the God of the Narnia which used to unknown where placed, now
shows his self and his wise of leadership. He gives the four princes
and princesses’ power and territorial. The eldest brother is given
the biggest one and called as the king, the eldest sister is called
as the queen. And Edmund and Lucy are the prince and the princess.
