Aviation - reaching for the sky

Flying was a man's dream. He listened the stories of Fairies who had wings and could soar up to the glittering moon and star-studded sky. Man also dreamt to fly in the vast unending and fasinating sky. Flying is for birds, he took it as a challenge to his intelligence. Mythology is full of stories where in some persons attempted to fly with artificial wings or had the extra-ordinary capacity to wade through the sky.

The dream became true with the invention of aeroplane by the wright brothers. Even before that airships enabled man to travel from one place to another in gas-filled ballons that could rise against gravity. However ,airships offered commercial potential.

Flying through air is now a full-fleged industry, full of adventure and thrills.

Aviation is one of the world’s largest (training pilots) industries in terms of capital investment and contribution to the state exchequer.

The face of Indian aviation is changing and it is poised for a vibrant growth, India can definitely boast of a boom in Asian travel market.

The advent of private airlines public taxes are offering healthy competition in the field. About twenty-two private outline/air taxi groups are operating in the country now. Out of this five are scheduled air lines. They are East West Airlines, Modiluft, Archna, Damania, Besides, there are 17 other small groups.

Most of the domestic private airlines have entered into foreign tie ups. It promises a swing in the tourist preference towards India.

Aviation/flying by an aircraft attracts young boys and girls who want to mix up adventure with career. The various areas of Civil Aviation consist of commercial, engineering and operational divisions.
