Nature of Work


Air-hostess has a responsible job in the aircraft. Besides providing assistance to passengers, she provides information regarding safety measures, emergency equipment etc.

During flight she ensures that all that passengers are made comfortable and till the end of the destination she is on her toes.

Entry requirement are different for national and international airlines. Some of the pre-requisites are as follows:

Employment Opportunities /Prospects

Air-hostess are eligible to the rank of Senior hostess, Deputy Chef air hostess ands Chief Air hostess, Pay and other Benefits. One can get salary from 5,000/- to 15,000/- depending upon the company and Airlines in which a person is employed. Concession for dependents. It is important that a girl should be of pleasing personality, good grooming, well modulated, pleasant voice, normal eye sight remedied with contacts to 6/6, Preference is also given to girls who have the knowledge of more than one language, diploma in catering/travel and tourism, acting and modeling background.


Once a year they get free Air Travel Pocket within India and once every 5 years. A foreign tour in (Indian airlines) Besides they get provident fund, gratuity and medical allowance.

He works along with airhostess in the gallery and is concerned with providing meals and other services to passengers. Like air hostess he has a responsible job and an important role to play during the course of journey.
