  The family Mattsson-Stålnacke

This family surname goes back about three hundred years. The surname is mentioned in a document for the first time at Kålsäter´s factory, Långserud´s parish in the province of Värmland in central Sweden in 1697-1698. The ancestors were the brothers "Anders and Jonas Mattsson Ståhlnacke". They lived at the end of the 17th century and in the begin of the 18th century.They were hammersmiths. They were possibly not brother`s child of Jöns Olofsson-Stålnacka or Erik Olofsson Ståhlnacke. Instead, they were possibly sons of Mattis Larsson" who lived in the 17th century. The father was hammersmith at Ransäter´s factory, Upper Ullerud´s parish in the province of Värmland. He and his sons were mentioned in a census register in 1690: "Master hammersmith Mattis (married), charcoal-burner Pelle (single), journeyman hammersmith Anders (single), smith-worker Jonas (single)".
The ancestor Anders Mattsson Stålnacke (1664-1731) and his master Nils Kobbe left at the Niklasdammen´s factory, Varnum´s parish and moved to Kålsäter´s factory, Långserud´s parish in the province of Värmland in 1694. A few years later he moved back to the factory in 1702. He was married twice. He had many children, seven daughers and three sons. The sons Matts (1705-1768) and Anders (1725-1789) Andersson Stålnacke were hammarsmiths in the south province of Värmland. They lived in the 18th century. The son Matts Andersson Stålnacke 1705-1768 and his family left the province of Värmland and migrated to the Åryd´s factory, Hemmesjö´s parish in the province of Småland in 1742. He died at Ryfors' factory in Göteryd´s parish in the same province.
The ancestor (Andres´s brother) Jonas Mattsson Stålnacke (1665-1728). He is mentioned for the first time at Kålsäter´s factory, Långserud´s parish in 1696. He lived with his son´s family at Munkfors´factory, Ransäter´s parish in the province of Värmland. His known son was Mattis Jonsson Stålnacke (1669-1741). He was hammarsmith.

The family emigrated from Degerfors` factory (T) to Worcester (MA), USA in 1892 This picture are Johan August Stolnacke och his wife Anna Sofia born Karlsson with their adult sons and daughters in Worcester, (MA), USA. The family emigrated from Bällefors´parish (R) to Chicago (IL), USA in 1879.

This picture is the wife Carolina Tilander (born Stålnacke) 1827-1899. She lived at Sannerud, Tived´s parish (R), Sweden. Her son Alfred Stålnacke born in 1853, died 191? He emigrated from Sweden to Baku of City in Azerbaijan. He is ancestor of descendants as live in Sweden and West of Georgien This picture is the wife Alma Khurtsilava (born Stålnacke) 1887-1949. She was born in Baku of City in Azerbaijan, there she was daughter of Alfred Stålnacke and his wife Maria Karolina (born Österlund). Her family emigrated from Azerbaijan to Kuashi, Samtredia, Georgien. This picture are widow Erika Kristina (born Nykvist) Frederickson with her adult sons. The family Andrew Alexander Frederickson (changed from Stålnacke) emigrated from Njutånger´s parish (X) to Palmer (MI), USA in 1881.


Migration
They family moved often to anthors of province
in central Sweden in 19th century.
A few of members moved to the factories in the provinces of
Ångermanland in 1792 and Gästrikland in 1832.
Most of the family migrated to USA in 1880-1910.
There their possibly changed the surname to "Stolnacke"
