The Land of the Taj Mahal

The best curry, the Taj Mahal, rustic Rajasthani villages -- the very very different world of colours, frangrances, people and a real awakening. Since my childhood I wanted to set foot in India -- so I followed my dream and spent my  40th birthday at the Taj Mahal 

Memorable Experiences in India:

1)  The Taj Mahal in Agra
2)  The wonderful (and cheap) Indian Food
3)  Seeing so many desperately poor people and thinking that the Indian Government defense expenditure in 2001 was no less than US$13.4 billion
4)  Walking Old Delhi at night -- what a different world!
5)  Giving a kid $0.10 in a Rajasthan Village and being swarmed by hundreds (old and young) for a hand-out 
6)  Staying in a real palace in Jaipur
