Triumph, repairing a computer disaster ..someone asked me to have a look at some computers and connect them to the internet. What a task they did have one connected, but the computers were all full of viruses, no one knew any passwords, the internet company was having problems etc etc. Eventually I worked out that they had somehow they had 3 boxes with power adaptors and one of the adaptors was a 5V one which was enough to power the one lights on the device, but not actually power the device cos it was a 12V device. Once I rigged up another power adaptor, programmed the router I got it working. Then I had to clean up the computers and protect them from future virus attacks.

They had 2 other computers one half dead and another dead and I managed to bring them back to life. So I managed to get then from one virus infected computer connected to 4 clean computers running at high speed on the internet.

I don't think many other people could have worked it out that's why I get paid ..for my experience and tenacity. They could have done weeks of work themselves and never got anywhere. but Of course all the work took time and predictably they had expected it to take a couple of hours. (I could have not bothered to clean or protect the computers, but them they would have been calling me back in a few weeks to clean up their paralysed computers. There's no point in connecting any computer to the internet unless it's protected. Now I've got to fart around expaining all this to them as they want to pay 100 dollars for work which took most of a week.
