[Scene: Hell's Kitchen. Dawson is
sitting at a table with Jen, Jack and David. They are all
drinking colas while waiting for food to arrive.] Dawson: So let me get this straight, Pacey and Audrey broke up, but Joey and Audrey are fighting. Jen: Yes, majorly. Dawson, you've got to call more often. Jack: Hold on a second, ok? A: The guy has obviously been really busy, ok? And B: I mean... she's--she's-- she's exaggerating, 'cause nobody's broken any nails yet. David: It's more like they're keeping their distance from each other. Dawson: Thank you. David: No problem. Jen: You know, I'm sure that if we could get them in the same room, they would work things out just fine. Dawson: Joey and Audrey? Jen: No, Pacey and Audrey. Duh. [Emma comes up to the table carrying a tray full of food. Goes to hand the food out.] Emma: Here we go. Jen: Uh, no- [Gives the burger to David that she almost gave to Jen] Emma: Sorry about that. What about you, love? [To Dawson] Can I get you anything? Dawson: Uh, no, thanks. I can't stay that long. [Emma looks a little disappointed, then leaves them] Jack: Oh. Oh, yeah, let me guess. Uh... she's not working tonight, if that's what you're asking. Jen: Yeah, why don't you stay and have a cheeseburger? Come on, Dawson, we never get to see you anymore. Dawson: Really, I have to go. Jen: Dawson. Dawson: I can't, I swear. I got to get back. Todd thinks I'm running an errand right now, which, technically... I am. [He pulls an envelope out of his pocket and hands it to Jen] Jen: What is this? Dawson: It's a present. Jen: Oh, you feel so bad 'cause you don't call, you got to give us presents. Dawson: Just open it. It's not a guilt offering. I'd use it myself if I could. [She opens it and pulls out a bunch of concert tickets] Jen: Oh, my god! These are tickets to the No Doubt concert. Dawson, this is amazing. There's like 10 tickets in here. Are you sure that this is ok? Dawson: Absolutely. Todd got them for free. I think he knows the band or something. Jack: You know what? Why don't you just, uh-Don't give the man a chance to change his mind there, all right? Dawson: Anyway, go, enjoy it. Have fun. And, uh, let me know what happens once you get Pacey and Audrey in the same place at the same time. Jen: Thank you so much. Jack: Thanks, man. [Dawson goes to leave and runs into Joey who is just arriving to the bar.] Dawson: Hey. Joey: Hey. Dawson: I'm sorry. I was just, uh- Joey: Oh, don't apologize. Um...are they- Dawson: yeah, they're back there. Jack and Jen... Joey: Oh, good. I was hoping for some company. How have you been? Dawson: Great. Really great. I've been busy. Joey: Great. Dawson: Heard you and Audrey had a fight. Joey: Yeah... those things happen, I guess. People fight. Dawson: Yeah. All right, well, I don't want to keep you. Joey: Dawson, they're your friends, too. Dawson: Yeah, I know. I just--I got to go. Joey: It's nice seeing you. Dawson: You, too. [He leaves and she looks a little disappointed that he left.] [Opening Credits] |

sitzt am Tisch mit Jen, Jack und David. Alle trinken
Cola, während sie auf ihr Essen warten.] Dawson: Also ich fasse kurz zusammen. Pacey und Audrey haben sich getrennt und Joey und Audrey streiten miteinander. Jen: Ja, meistens. Dawson, du solltest sie öfters anrufen. Jack: Wartet mal einen Moment, ja? Also erstens ist er ein Typ, der offensichtlich beschäftigt ist, und zweitens ... sie...sie übertreibt, weil noch niemand etwas zerbrochen hat. David: Es ist eher so, als ob sie auf Distanz bleiben wollen. Dawson: Danke sehr. David: Kein Problem. Jen: Wißt ihr, ich bin sicher wenn wir im selben Raum wären, dann würden die Dinge automatisch passieren. Dawson: Joey und Audrey? Jen: Nein, Pacey und Audrey. Duh. [Emma bringt auf einen Tablett ihr Essen. Sie teilt das Essen aus.] Emma: Hier bitte sehr. Jen: Äh, nein- [Sie gibt den Burger zu David, den sie beinahe Jen gegeben hätte.] Emma: Tut mir leid. Was war mit dir, Süßer? [zu Dawson] Kann ich dir etwas bringen? Dawson: Äh, nein danke. Ich kann nicht lange bleiben. [Emma schaut etwas enttäuscht, dann geht sie wieder.] Jack: Oh. Oh, ja, laß mich raten. Äh... sie arbeitet heute nicht hier, falls du das fragen wolltest. Jen: Ja, warum bleibst du nicht und ißt einen Cheeseburger? Komm schon, Dawson, wir sehen dich ja kaum noch. Dawson: Wirklich, ich muß los. Jen: Dawson. Dawson: Ich kann nicht. Ich schwöre. Todd glaubt, das ich mit einem Auftrag unterwegs bin, was ich tatsächlich bin... [Er zieht einen Umschlag aus seiner Tasche und gibt ihn Jen.] Jen: Was ist das? Dawson: Es ist ein Geschenk. Jen: Oh, du fühlst dich so schlecht weil du nicht angerufen hast und gibst uns dafür ein Geschenk? Dawson: Mach auf. Es ist kein Schuldeingeständnis. Ich profitiere auch davon. [sie öffnet den Umschlag und zieht einige Konzertkarten raus.] Jen: Oh, mein Gott! Das ist Karten für das No Doubt Konzert. Dawson, das ist toll. Hier sind ungefähr 10 Karten. Bist du sicher, das das okay ist? Dawson: Absolut. Todd hat sie umsonst bekommen. Ich glaube er kennt diese Band oder so. Jack: Weißt du was? Warum gibst du den Mann keine Chance seine Meinung zu ändern? Dawson: Jedenfalls muß ich los. Habt Spaß. Und äh erzählt mir mal was passierte ist, als Pacey und Audrey zusammen zurselben zeit waren. Jen: Hab vielen Dank. Jack: Danke, man. [Dawson will gehen und begegnet an der Tür Joey, die die Bar betreten will.] Dawson: Hey. Joey: Hey. Dawson: Tut mir leid. Ich war... Joey: Oh, entschuldige dich nicht. Äh... sind sie...? Dawson: Ja, dort hinten. Jack und Jen... Joey: Oh, gut. Mir war nach Gesellschaft. Wie geht es dir? Dawson: Toll. Wirklich toll. Ich bin sehr beschäftigt. Joey: Großartig. Dawson: Ich habe gehört, das du und Audrey Streit hattet. Joey: Ja... diese Dinge passieren, glaub ich. Leute streiten. Dawson: Ja. Okay, nun, ich will dich nicht aufhalten. Joey: Dawson, es sind auch deine Freunde. Dawson: Ja, ich weiß. Ich... ich muß nur los. Joey: Nett dich wiedergesehen zu haben. Dawson: Ja, dich auch- [Er gehr raus und sie schaut ihm etwas enttäuscht hinterher.] [Vorspann.] |
