About Me

My name is Stacy Herron. I first got into graphic design because of an elective that I was given my freshman year of high school. This elective was called Home Page Productions, I had now clue what this class was. My counselor made a comment about it being fairly new and they needed more students to keep it open. This class was my introduction to both HTML code and Adobe Photoshop. Needless to say Photoshop stuck with me for a long time. My entire high school career was spent in the computer lab with any kind of computer class I could take as well as working on my schools website keeping it up to date. From high school I went on to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I went there to keep up with web design, but part of the curriculum was to understand traditional printmaking and that caught my interest more then web design. I liked the idea of being able to design things that the end product would be something tangible that you can hold in your hand. Since then I have focused on the printed medium.
