There is a Priced Catalogue of Postal Stationery of the World, Higgins & Gage, Inc. 23 No. Santa Anita, Pasadena, California. It comes in small page loose leaf format.
Subway's catalog lists all 19 volumes for $200 for pages only, or $245 with 10 binders. They also have specialized postal stationery and other catalogs for many different countries.
Nicholas G. Carter writes: H&G is no more (1995). It was bought by a California firm - the catalogues can be purchased from most literature dealers and from Subway. In that same area you should list the Billig handbooks - there are some 45 of them, but a list of contents would be a real labor of love. Also, the Robson Lowe Encyclopedia of the British Empire should be mentioned. The first four volumes were reprinted in ten of the Billig handbooks.
Marc Kaplan writes: I've found the address and publications list for the United Postal Stationery Society. They have a great many publications. The major ones include U.S. Postal Card Catalog last updated in 1990, 19th Century U.S. Envelopes published in 1984, 20th Century U.S. Envelopes published in 1990, Canal Zone Postal Stationery published in 1985, Philipping Postal Stationery published in 1984.
