This artistamp, designed by W.C. "Bill" Porter and manufactured by the Olathe Poste (Olathe, Colorado), features a portrait of Buffalo Bill Cody and Chief Sitting Bull. The two were friends, both in the wilds of the untamed West and after Sitting Bull became "civilized." The portrait was taken while both were members of the famous "Wild West Show."
