A great historian once said that the danger of all institutions is that they begin to worship their own past." You cannot go back; you must either go forward or perish." We can use the past for inspiration, and we can use the past for guidance, but we can seldom or never use the past as a pattern for the present. We cannot repeat the successes of the past. "May we say that the only guide we have now is the unchanging GOD.

Just like our forerunners didi, running the race was not an easy task but each step they took gave meaning to inspire us to continue and to press on.

Our four long years of stay here was full of challenges with the meaning, it is not enduring but enjoying the great times being with our talented teachers in this prestigious institution.

Allow us to share with you these memorable events that we've gone through for the purpose of not blowing our horns but of inspiring our younger brothers and sisters in the lower years to soar greater heights and greener pastures.

Setting Foot in the Realm of Knowledge: (Freshman)

On June 1993, some 770 juvenile, chaste and fresh looking faces from different barangays of Cabatuan and the neighboring towns set foot into the portals of Cabatiuan National Comprehensive High School with a noble goal, to quench their thirst for knowledge.

Though neophytes, we, the Batch '97, still faught and gave and name to our group by participating in different activities in and out of the campus.

One of the important events we cannot forget was the election of the Student Government Officers. Kenneth Gil ranked second as a senator of the highest student organization. Noel Tolentino Jr., Rieza Velarde and Edsel Yniego were elected as representatives.

During the Intramural Meet, Eva Barona , a Palarong Pambansa sprinter, together with the other freshmen sprinters, led the Freshies Team to become the champion for the first time in athletic games in girls. In chess competition, our woodpusher, Lheocelle Moreno placed second.

Our declaimers, Melecio Angelo, Jr. and Jessica Sonza in English and Filipino category respectively, bested other contestant during the Literary Musical contests.

The class' active boy scouts, Alfie Labanero and Oliver Pallada attended the first Asean Jamboree held in Mt. Makiling, Los Banos Laguna.

United Nations Week Celebration came, Rieza Velarde grabbed the silver in Quiz Bee Contest.

During the observation of Values Education Day, our slogan maker Allan Madarico was adjudge the best.

Kenneth Gil and Jonelo Sobreguel rank first and third respectively, in Quiz Bee during the Mathematics Fun Day.

We may say that the last opportunity to show our superiority though neophytes in school was during the Valentine's Affair sponsored by the English Department. Joan Taburno and Jonathan Menchavez were chosen as King and Queen of Hearts '94. Rosyl Overio, the poetess of the class, bested all her other contestant in poetry writing contest. Her poem "The Beautiful Garden," got the nod of the judges.
