GNUGet is a front end for the Wget option available in GNU/Linux .Gnu Wget is a free utility for robust downloading of files from the internet. It supports HTTP, HTTPS and FTP protocols as well as retrieval through HTTP proxies .Wget can follow links in HTML and XHTML pages and create local versions of remote website. Wget has been designed for robustness over slow or unstable network connections .
GNUGet provides a user friendly environment for easy download of files. At the same time care is taken not to destroy the robustness and other features of Wget. GNUGet comes with all the almost all the options that are available in Wget. With all these options GNUGet promises easy and fast download of files from the Internet .
GNUGet has been created using GLADE and gtk+ libraries . The whole project has been developed using C language. GNUGet contains four options tab in the interface. First is the URL options that contains the address or the URL and the directory where the contents are to be saved . Then comes the Basic Options that include the output options and the Directory options of the Wget. The option tab is the Download Option that contains various options such as tries, maximum timeout, speed etc .The fourth and the final tab is the Advanced tab that contains the FTP option and the Recursion options that are available in Wget .
