| Magick is the ability to cause change within ourselves and our surroundings. No, it can't make you rich, but it can, with your effort put into it, make life richer, and in return your life will be a little more at ease. There are a lot of do's and don'ts to magic and none of which should be taking lightly. Magic is nature and nature is magic, there are bounderies in which one must stay within and obey the laws set forth. Harm None ,there are a lot of interpretations to this, so use you head. Ok here comes my opinion again, i believe the better part of this law, but there are parts to it in which i can not bring myself to even considering a punishable God/Goddess, but like i said, this is my opinion. I have not had any down falls placed upon me for anything i have done, so i must be believing in the right thing. I can not and will not discuss my beliefs here, because i do not what to miss lead anyone. That would be the same thing as forcing ones belief upon another. I hope you understand. Anyways...Don't do anything that will harm you or others. Bad magic is never worth the consequences that you could receive. Be wise and very careful. Pay close attention to what you are doing before you do it. Magic is very hard work, a no frills situation, you must give it your all, if you give a half-hearted ritual, then you will get nothing in return. Kinda like a taco without a shell. You only get out of it what you are willing to put into it. By this i mean, that even though you have very carefully performed your ritual, you still have to go out into life and make it happen. Example: say you did a ritual to get a new job that paid you more money, gave you the benifits you wanted for your family, or even asked for a promotion at the job you already have. This is where the effort comes into effect, Do something about, look for that job, ask for that raise in promotion, you have to help, physically. Your ritual places the intent of focus for the purpose you desire and the effort you put out makes the ritual a success. But don't expect it to happen over night, It does take time. It will come when the time is right. Shortcuts in magic will give you very little results and can be very dangerous. Magic is not a quick fix. It takes time and effort. There is no room for mistakes. Before you go into your ritual, go over it in your minds eye so as to know exactly why and what you are performing the ritual for. Mistakes can cause harsh results. Know what you are going to do before you enter your circle. Ok now, here is my opinion again, and man is this a big one. One of my biggest pet peeves. You should never ask someone to pay you for the magical kindness you have done for them. It is not ethical, it's just immorally not right. Mother Earth did not charge you for living in her home, or for giving you a gift, therefore you should not charge for the gift she so graciously gave to you. Magic is faith, love and harmony. It is a sanctuary between you, Mother Earth and the universe as a whole. If you have no faith or love for yourself then nor shall your magic have for you. Magic really works, if you do it right, always believe in your self and everything that surrounds you. Within these next few pages you will find various things involved in a witches surroundings, But keep in mind that this is not the only way of doing things. These are the ways i choose to do. You know, it's a wonderful thing to be said about witchcraft, and that is, no two people do the same thing everytime. Mother Earth works with you to produce what is best for you. |
