I’m gonna sit and watch the web that you will build this day… better be the thread of love you weave, it’s yours to show the way. --John Lodge

Be part of the solution, and not the problem--Christie’s Axioms

All I know is we're still climbing up that hill............. (Hayward/Feat)

Greetings and welcome to the blog page for my Spring 2008 Vacation. Some of this will be of interest to Moody Blues fans, some to music lovers in general, and some will be of interest to only my family and friends, I shall so notate on the links below what each is about. Pick and choose wisely.

Please be aware this is a free site, and as such, it freezes due to overload sometimes. If this happens, just try again later. Sorry I'm too poor to have a better site :)

Those who get huffy about ANY of my writing, please understand my reflections of the Moody shows are a critique, not a honey-laced gushing supportive vision of the band. I’ve seen a lot of shows, and I always try to tell it like I see it. Ditto the fan base. Obviously the shows are ALL good or I wouldn’t be here. (Critique is not for the thinned skinned, which is why I don’t do arts for a living. I can’t stand honest feed back myself. The Moodies can, I assure you, or they would have quit a long time ago).

Please enjoy, yes there are some photos, and I hope you liked the tour as much as I did. With much love, Christie

One last thought: over a 100 years ago, Hans Christian Anderson wrote a fairy tale entitled "The Red Shoes". In the 50’s it was made into a wonderful movie, and included a spectacular ballet, not to be missed by anyone interested in Fine Arts. The story thus goes: a girl once bought some red shoes that seemed magical. She wore them to a party, and danced like magic all night, she was the Belle of the Ball, the most beautiful, talented girl there.

When midnight came, she was tired, and wanted to go home and sleep. BUT THE SHOES WOULDN’T LET HER. She had to dance on and on and on, never stopping. Anderson ended it with Christian salvation, and the movie ends just a tiny bit different (the salvation of true love). The movie is a wonderful allegory, there are demons, heroes, temptation, vanity, glory, passion and honest love all mixed into one tale.

Keep this story in mind.
