The Hey! Baby Project

I need your help!Computer crashed!!! My data was lost!!! Please help me fill in the artists that recorded the song Hey! Baby [written by Channel/Cobb ].Below is the list I have so far that I pulled from my memory:

Hi Spike, you may already know this but it was a huge hit downunder in New Zealand in 1967 for a local rock group called the La De Da's. If you didn't know it's one more to add to your list.                                                          Cheers, Scott.

Hi Spike I know another artist who covered "Hey Baby". He calls himself "DJ Ötzi" and is from Austria. At the moment he's very successful with "his" music in Germany and Austria. Greetings, Thomas

PS: I like the original version more...

Hello, here's three more Covers: The first I found searching yahoo for information about the song: http://www.willisblume.com/pages/medallions.html "In early 1963 the Swingin' Medallions burst onto the music scene with their national hit "Double Shot of My Baby's Love". In 1968, a remake of Bruce Channel's "Hey Baby" firmly established the group as one of the South's most in-demand dance and show bands. In 1963 Lewis Grizzard noted "what clean-cut, personable young men they were...". The Swingin' Medallions still play with great feeling and just the right amount of showmanship." Second is a german band called "Soundconvoy" or "Sound Convoy" it's a kind of singalong-version, the kind you sing after two dozen of beer. It's very popular in carnival and everywhere people drink (too much). It's almost a top ten hit in the german charts. This means the song has become a top ten hits twice this year, because the version of "DJ Ötzi" (similar to the Sond Convoy's version) is also a chartbreaker. Third is a dutch band, called "Cooldown Cafe". They have a top ten hit in the Netherlands called "Hey! Baby" at the moment. I actually haven't heared the song, but as the Netherlands are our neighbors and the song is a (double) great hit in Germany I suppose it's also a booze-version of the old song. Keep on searchin' :-) Nob

Thanks Rainer for the tip [ Johnny Hallyday ].
