Collecting Cars

I find collecting fast or rare cars to be just plain ridiculous. So many people buy rare automobiles with the intention of collecting them. Why? Why would anyone want to "collect" an automobile? Automobiles were designed to be driven upon the roads. From the most expensive Lamborghini to the cheapest Yugo all cars were meant to be driven. Some, say a Ferrari, were meant to be driven even more so than other cars. Yet they more often then not sit in a garage getting rubbed with a diaper.

When you don't drive a car it deteriorates, the brake rotors rust. Water forms in the oil pan and rusts the engine from within. Batteries loose their charge. The grease in bearings turns to tar. So why would anyone want a car that just sits? I find this to be ludicrous.

Rest assured, all of my cars are DRIVEN!
