Kashi Wali , Cornell and Syracuse Universities, USA Marathi, A study in comparative South Asian Languages is a collection of papers devoted to various linguistic aspects of Marathi with special reference to other South Asian languages. These papers are related to the broad areas of subjects, such as Agreement, Anaphora, Facts and Propositions, Structure of Causatives, Correlatives,and structure of Modals. Most of these papers are slightly revised versions of papers published in reputed international journals and books earlier. It includes papers co-authored by Wali with other scholars.

Kashi Wali has been working on Marathi and Kashmiri for last three decades and has published extensively in the fields of linguistics and South Asian languages. Her publications include Marathi Syntax : A Study of Reflexives (1989),Kashmiri: A Descriptive-Cognitive Grammar (co-author 1997), Lexical Anaphora and Pronouns in Selected South Asian Languages (co-editor 2000), Marathi Grammar(2005), Modern Kashmiri Grammar (co-author, 2006) and a large number of papers.
