Standing just short of 6 feet tall, with black hair shot with bronze, and pointed ears Idris cannot be mistaken for anything but a half-elf. He is of medium build with green eyes, fair skin and the hook nosed face of a Khinasi aristocrat.
He wears Golden yellow trews and shirt, a Crimson suede vest with Gold rivets and embroidery and red leather boots. The Crimson shows he is of the el-Reshid clan, the Royal Clan of Binsada, the intricate lines of Gold embroidery show he is part of the Royal Line of the Erebonnien Elves. Over this he wears either a loose sleeved Blue brocade coat with a crimson sash and white head cloth, or a fine Blue wool cloak with a bronze chain collar. Both the coat and cloak bear the Golden Demi-sun symbol of Avani.
Sayyid el-Riaz iben Masud was shipwrecked on the coast of the Erebonnien Wood, in Aerenwe, during the Great Storm of 506. He married Lossira a'Suadiar later in that year, after she had nursed him back to health. The twins Idris a'Glaidhe (also called Idris el-Husān iben Sayyid) and Afan a'Solier (Hasan el-Nur iben Sayyid) were born on the 32nd day of the 1st month of 508.
After 10 years (25 years real time) Sayyid returned to his home in Binsada to take charge of his clan and its horse breeding program. The el-Husān clan are a sub clan of the el-Reshid clan, the Royal Clan of Binsada.
The twins trained in both fencing and magic with the Elves until they were 18, when they left for Bar Darios (capital of Bisada), to meet their fathers clan. They were then sent to Zikala to The College of Elemental Magic and The School of The Sword, in the Temple of Avani, to complete their training.
Idris spent a year with the elite Lions of Dusk guard unit, and then 3 years working for his father setting up safer trade routs with Anuire. (Afan returned to the Erebonnien Wood to act as a go-between with Aerenwe.)
During the course time spent in Roesone he was recruited as a Deputy Marshall by the Baroness, who uses the Team as her Weird Stuff investigators. He seems, somewhere, to have acquired a suit of rainbow coloured Fairie Chain-Mail which can always be seen peeking out past either collar or cuffs.
In the spring of 552 Idris was made a Knight of the Sun at a ceremony in Anuire (with the title of Faris in Basarji or Syr in Sidhelien). He was asked to take Aser iben Jabel as a Page/Apprentice.
