Hysta in Sherborne

Hysta is considering locating a business in Sherborne. Because of the global internationalization we thought about locating in many different places, but only one town caught our attention: Sherborne. We were introduced to this town through the Douzelage, which is a a town twinning association with one town from each of the member states of the European Union. The aims of the Douzelage are to promote and foster the spirit of Europe and to establish among others educational, economic, tourist, sporting and cultural links between the towns for the mutual benefit of the inhabitants thereof. And so we learned about Sherborne. Since then we have been on very good terms with each other and now we are looking to set up a new business there.
 

Why Sherborne

There are many reasons why we are now mainly considering Sherborne:

  • We have a very large amount of customers in the south of England, making Sherborne an ideal location.
     
  • The infrastructure is outstanding:
    • Rail station
    • Freeways from all points of the compass
    • Airports
    • Second to largest natural harbour of the world
       
  • There are four industrial parks for Hysta to set up a business
    • Hysta can also provide useful services and products for other engineering companies in the area.
       

  • Sherborne has a large economically active population and a low unemployment rate.

    • Dorset also has a large economically active population, a low unemployment rate and a high employment rate as well.
       

  • The majority of the population in Sherborne aged 16 - 74 also has qualifications of level 2 or higher.

All of these aspects make Sherborne a very appealing town to locate our business.


Our goals in Sherborne

We hope to expand our market and to bring our services and products to the many customers we have in the south of England. This will not only be convenient for them, but also prosperous for us, which will allow us to eventually expand our services and letting Sherborne blossom and prosper because of it.
