About This Site
I started Somers, New York - What's Happening because I felt that the people of Somers
did not have access to a central information source for events, news, town government, etc.
That's not to say that the official website of the Town of Somers is not good at what it does,
but so much more is going on in the town, and in surrounding towns.
This website contains as much information as possible about town happenings, history,
restaurants, regional theater, regional museum exhibits, and news items. I have provided
links to other calendars and information sources, such as a link on the Theater page to a
regional theater information source.
I hope this website proves useful. If you wish to have your happening posted on this site,
