Solitary War?
I named the fanlisting 'Solitary War' because I felt that it described the lyrics of Linkin Park songs. Like a war or battle fought alone. Something that is going on inside of you - something no one else can understand but you yourself. There were a few other ideas for names that caught my attention, but in the end, I liked this one best.
Why?
Linkin Park is my favorite band besides Green Day. There are lots of reasons why I love them -- pretty much for every reason you can love them for. I feel that the lyrics of each and everyone of their songs are so powerful - they can reach out to you, they can make you cry, they can mean different things to different people, and they have heart and soul in them. These weren't a bunch of lyrics thrown together like most artists now-a-days (think MTV...) - they actually have meaning. They are beautiful. I really relate to the lyrics as well - I have a past like Chesters, although not sexually abused, physicall and mentally abused. I still struggle with this, and I struggle alone yet I feel (sounds stupid, I know) that Linkin Park is with me. Not physically obviously...but with the lyrics. I always listen to them when I feel alone, or helpless, or any of my bad feelings come back. They honestly have helped me through a lot. While only a few songs are more opptimistic, the others have honestly helped me too. All in all, I feel Linkin Park's lyrics deserve a fanlisting.
