SOCA is a non profit corporation, certification
agency. Formed in 1998/99 by certified organic farmers to inspect and certify organic farms and fields, and to help farmers develop production plans to become organic. Because of politics and bureaucracy, SOCA decided to look for a partner to alleviate costs and provide better market access. The decision was made to partner with Ecocert Canada and become the western office of Ecocert Canada. The office is located on Rusty's farm

Rusty Plamondon: is our president and western office manager. He likes being outdoors and lives on a farm at Silver Stream Sask.
Norman Bromm: is our Vice President and is responsible for certification. He likes riding horses and lives on a farm north of Tisdale at the Runciman corner.
