| TREKKING ROUTES i) NAROMORU: This is the quickest way to ascend with large variety of alpine vegetation above tropical rain forest, bamboo and hagenia zones. Accommodation is in manned huts at met-station and mackinders camps. ii) SIRIMON : This is the drier side of Mt. Kenya to the first camp north and give a gentle ascend to the bottom of the main peaks, the first camp at Judemier give a superb view point where in the evening animas and sunset mark the day iii) CHOGORIA: This route is to the eastern side of the mountain and the most beautiful with a long stretch of rainforest, bamboo and alpine vegetational zones before reaching the eye catching Gorges valley and main peaks emerging at the top. Access becomes difficulty during rainy season as roads turn impassible and need camping facilities as we have no manned huts on this route from park gate. iv) BURGURET: This lies on the western side of the mountain and makes as a true naturalist trail. A dense bamboo forest forms the canopy of this old trail where colombus and Syke monkeys may be encountered. Elephants and buffalos are common in this route. Camping gears are required apart from highland castle where night can be spent in a cave. v) TIMAU TRUCK: The trail lies to the northern side and have wide range of open grasslands where Elands, zebra, buffaloes and lions may be encountered. This route is more drier and has fascinating adulating moorland. Camping gears are required as the route has no huts. vi) KAMWETI TRAIL: This is less famous and hardly used trail on Southern side. |

| 4 DAYS MOUNT KENYA TREK ROUTE CONTRUST (SIRIMON /NAROMORU) Day 1 : Leave Nairobi through central Kenya to Nanyuki town at the base of Mt. Kenya. After a short break, proceed to Sirimon park gate where together with our guide and porters you start the hike through the forest where animals like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and birds may be encountered to Old Moses camp (3300m) for dinner and overnight. 3-4 hours walk. Day 2 : After break fast, hike through the moorland viewing high altitude vegetation like Lobelia, cabbage groundsel, giant groundsel, heather and animals like hyrax and rodents which live up to 4400m high as well as different bird species. Ascend through Mackider valley with a picnic lunch break to Shipton camp 4200m for dinner and overnight. 6-7hrs. Day 3 : Take an early morning tea and start the climb at 3.00 am climbing along a lose scree which sometimes of the year is covered with snow to reach the summit of Lenana the third peak in Mt. Kenya before sun rise and later descend via Mackinders camp for breakfast to Met- station (3050m) on Naromoru trail for overnight.9 hrs walk. Day 4 : After break fast descend to Naromoru park gate and connect your transfer off the mountain and later drive back to Nairobi. |

| 5 DAYS MT. KENYA PEAK CIRCUIT( SIRIMON - CHOGORIA) Day 01: Leave Nairobi at 0800hrs via central Kenya viewing agricultural farms to arrive Nanyuki in the afternoon for a brief stop over at the equator. Lunch at a hotel in Nanyuki town before driving further to the Sirimon park gate. Accompanied by your guide, cook and porters, walk through the rain forest to Old Moses camp 3300m.(3-4hrs walk). Day 02 : After breakfast hike through the moorland viewing high attitude flowers, animals bird to Shipton camp 4200m.(6-7hrs walk). Day 03 : After break fast, take an exploration hike around the peaks where turn lakes and permanent glaciers make the source of most big rivers in Kenya to Mackinders camp (4300m) on the south west of the peaks for overnight. Day 04 : Attempt Point Lenana (4985M) early in morning to catch the sunrise and after a superb view from the summit as far as kilimanjaro to the south, descend to Mintos hut for breakfast. Proceed down the most scenic route along gorges valley to Meru Mt.Kenya Bandas for dinner and overnight (3000m.). Day : 05 After break fast descend through the tropical rain forest and connect your transfer off the mountain to Chogoria village and later drive back to Nairobi. |
| 7 DAYS MT. KENYA TECHNICAL CLIMB. (NORMAL ROUTE - NELION) Day 01 : Leave Nairobi at 0800hrs via central Kenya viewing agricultural farms to arrive Nanyuki in the afternoon for a brief stop over at the equator. Lunch at a hotel in Nanyuki town before driving further to the Sirimon park gate. Accompanied by your guide, cook and porters, walk through the rain forest to Old Moses camp 3300m.(3-4hrs walk). Day 02 : After breakfast hike through the moorland viewing high attitude flowers, animals bird to Shipton camp 4200m.(6-7hrs walk). Day 03 : After break fast, take an exploration hike around the peaks where turn lakes and permanent glaciers make the source of most big rivers in Kenya to Austrian camp (4790m) on the south of the peaks for overnight. Day 04 : Acclimatization day and hike to Point Lenana 4985m. Afternoon preparation for the equipments. Dinner and overnight in the Austrian hut. Day 05 : After 4.30 am break fast, walk past Lewish glacier to the base where you start the climb to Nelion peak and crossing the gate of mist climb the summit of the highest point in mount Kenya BATIAN peak and later descend to Howell hut or Austrian hut for overnight. Day 06 : After sunrise climb down for breakfast and later descend via Mackinders camp to Met- station (3050m) on Naromoru trail where you connect your transfer to Nanyuki for over a relaxed night in a hotel. Day 07 : After break fast connect your transfer back to Nairobi. |

Lunch at a hotel in Nanyuki town before driving further to the Sirimon park gate. Accompanied by your guide, cook and porters, walk through the rain forest to Old Moses camp 3300m.(3-4hrs walk). Day 02 : After breakfast hike through the moorland viewing high attitude flowers, animals bird to Shipton camp 4200m.(6-7hrs walk). Day 03 : Acclimatization day and hike to Point Lenana 4985m. Afternoon preparation for the equipments. Dinner and overnight in the Shipton or Kami hut. Day 05 : After 4.30 am break fast, walk to the base where you start the climb through the North face climbing to the summit of the highest point in mount Kenya the BATIAN peak and later descend to Shipton / Kami camp overnight. Day 06 : After breakfast hike through Simba col. before you descend via Mintos camp through Chogoria trail viewing the fascinating Gorges Valley to Bandas lodge for overnight. Day 07 : After break fast descend through the tropical rain forest and connect your transfer off the mountain to Chogoria village and later drive back to Nairobi. |
