| CITY TOUR - 3 HOURS The tour covers the modern city center, the colourful market, the parliament, the railway museum (where there are spellbinding displays of early man, tribal regalia and the flora and fauna of Kenya). A visit to the adjacent snake park is also included. The tour returns to the city center in time for lunch. NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK - 4 HOURS This is a unique wildlife sanctuary is just 8 kms from Nairobi's bustling city center but despite it's proximity, over 50 species of mammals can be found there, including four of the big five. The tour also includes a visit to the animal orphanage at the park gate. The tour returns to the city center by sundown. KAREN BLIXEN + GIRAFFE CENTRE - 3 HOURS Drive towards the Ngong hills and pass the Ngong village to Karen Blixen museum, for many years her home. Later proceed to the giraffe center to see and feed the famous Rothchild giraffe and her family. BOMAS OF KENYA - 3 HOURS A Boma is a homestead, and a few kilometers from the city, numerous homesteads reflecting Kenya's cocktail of cultures have been faithfully re- created for visitors to see traditional dancing, music and song performed in splendid arena. NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK AND BOMAS OF KENYA - 1 DAY This national park, only 8 kms from the city center, is Nairobi's pride, for no other bustling capital can boast a paradise of wildlife almost on it's doorstep. The morning is spent tracking some of the many species found in the park, which include rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard and cheetah. After lunch at carnivore restaurant, continue to Bomas of Kenya for a fiesta of traditional music and dance the tour ends in Nairobi in the early evening. |
