Everyone was down by the fire, drinking hot cocoa after a long day of skiing and boarding. Everyone except Eddie and Kelly.
"I am *so* wiped," Charlotte said, resting her head on Gavin's shoulder.
"Same here," Ziz added.
Ethan Turner's voice came into Charloote's ear. "Hey Char. You look tired."
"Yeah, that's cuz I am," Char said.
"Quite a shred betty you are," Ethan commented.
"Thanks. Um, could you not talk right in my ear like that please?" Char shifted uncomfortably.
"But I want to," Ethan replied.
"But she doesn't want you to," Eddie said from behind them.
Ethan straightened up. "Yeah, I heard."
"Not too well apparantly," Kelly said.
"Get outta here, Ethan," Gavin added.
"Talk to you later Char," Ethan walked away.
"I don't like him," Char said, shivering.
"Neither do any of us," Seth assured her.
"I mean, I REALLY don't like him," Char said. "He creeps me out.
"Don't worry Char," Gavin said, placing his arm around her shoulders. "We'll protect you."
Char smiled gratefully. �Thanks.�
Ziz looked up at Eddie and Kelly towering over them behind the couch. �Hey, where are you guys going?�
�They don�t close the slopes til like, ten, Ziz,� Eddie said.
�So?� Ziz replied.
�We�re gonna check out our new Electra boards,� Kelly said.
Char and Ziz sat up and turned around to face Eddie and Kelly completely.
�You�re kidding,� Char said.
Kelly shook his head. �No way.�
�All of a sudden, I�m not tired anymore,� Ziz said.
�Yeah, neither am I,� Char agreed. �Wait for us, guys.�
Char and Ziz tore up the stairs and came back down five minutes later, dressed and ready with their boards.
�Have fun, guys. Don�t stay out too long, though,� Jenna warned.
�Yeah, there�s supposed to be a storm coming in around eleven,� Moanna added.
�We�ll be in way before that-around nine thirty,� Eddie said.
�Okay-see you guys later.� Seth waved.
As they walked out the door, Eddie said to Char, �Love your beanie, Char.�
