Gloria Christen walked by. "Trouble walking?"
  Charlotte just glared at Gloria.
  "You okay Char?" Gavin asked.
Char nodded. "Yeah. Thanks for catching me Gav."
  Gavin grinned. "No problem."
They walked inside and joined the rest of the group.
"Hey Char. I saw you fall. Are youokay?" Ziz asked.
  "Yeah, I'm fine."
  "Sure?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah, don't worry about it," Char said, shaking her head.
  "What'd Gloria say?" Seth asked.
Kelly walked up from the bathroom. "Let me guess-'Trouble walking?'"
  Gavin nodded. "Yeah."
"When will she learn to shut her mouth?" Moanna moved to the next cashier. "A breakfast burrito please."
Jenna snorted. "*When*? How about *never*."
Sadie Monroe sauntered by. "Jenna, I *love* your outfit."
  "Sure you do," Jenna muttered.
"No really, I do. The whole pajama thing in public is *so* in style," Sadie said.
  "Back off Sadie," Gavin said.
Sadie walked away without a word.
"She *really* makes me mad," Jenna said.
"Don't worry about her." Robyn went to order. "Meal three please."

At eleven am, the bus pulled into the ski lodge's parking lot. Laughing and talking, everyone jumped off the bud and went around to the compartment where their equipment was being held.
"My poles better not be missing like last time," Robyn said as she searched through the ski and board bags.
Seth pulled his board bag out of the pile. "Char-I think this is yours."
Charlotte looked up. "Yeah, and I think this is yours."
They exchanged their bags as Gavin pulled out his skis.
"Where are my *poles*?" Robyn yelled.
Eddie shrugged. "Don't look at me."
"Look, Robyn, don't start trippin. Just wait until everyone gets their stuff. Your poles will be left," Jenna reasoned. "Mo, can you grab my bag over there?"
"Sure." Mo handed Jenna her bag.
  "Thanks."
Eddie showed Kelly, Char and Ziz something on his bag. They all started laughing. Still smirking, Kelly turned and began walking around the pile to go into the lodge. Not watching where he was going, he bumped into someone.
  "Oh!" she cried.
Kelly looked to see who it was. It was Leslie White. She had short red hair and blue eyes. She was very quiet, so no one ever noticed her.
Kelly smiled apologetically. "Sorry. I didn't see you there. I was thinking about other things."
  "Isn't everyone?" Leslie replied.
Kelly bent to pick up the board wax he had knocked from her hands. "Here you go."
  "Thanks."
"Sure. Sorry for running into you." Kelly said and walked away.
"Where are my *poles*?" Robyn screamed.
Eddie ran to catch up with Kelly.
"She's getting pissed man," Kelly said.
  Eddie grinned. "I know."
Gavin joined them. "Eddie, do you have Robyn's poles?"
  "Sure," Eddie said noncommitally.
  "Thought so," Gavin said.

Robyn stormed into the lodge. "Do any of *you* know where my poles are?"
"Oh is *that* what you were freakin out over?" Eddie pulled Robyn's ski poles out of his board bag. "I thought I'd save you the trouble and bring them in for you."
"Eddie, you *idiot*!" Robyn ran to him and grabbed her ski poles. "That scared the crap out of me!"
"Sorry," Eddie said. "I was just messin with you."
"Yeah, now I get to beat you," Robyn said, hitting Eddie with her ski poles.
Moanna bent down and picked up a day planner on the floor. "Hey-is this any of your guys'?"
Robyn stopped hitting Eddie. "Not mine."
No one in the group claimed it. Moanna began to open up the planner to find whose it was.
A hand snatched it away from her. "What are you doing?"
Moanna looked up in surprise. "I was looking for a name so I could give it back."
  "Well, *don't*," Warren Scott snapped.
  "I'm sorry," Moanna stammered.
  "You better be," Warren said.
"Warren, lay off man. She gave it back. You don't have to bite her head off," Seth said.
"Sorry Moanna. I didn't mean to sound rude. I guess I didn't get a lot of sleep on the bus," Warren apologized.
"Don't worry about it. I didn't get a lot of sleep either," Moanna replied.
"Thanks for finding it," Warren said and walked away.
  "Yeah," Moanna murmured.
Warren was an outcast. He was very overweight and was very erratic in his ways and for both those reasons, he was teased constantly.
As soon as he was out of earshot, Char said, "One of these days, man-"
"He's gonna freak out and shoot everyone or something," Ziz finished.
"Yeah I know," Jenna agreed. "I hope I'm not at school that day."
