Mooney Girl (Moon)
Mooney is my 8 year old BLM Mustang. She is 14.1hh, and a red flaxen sorrel with a bald face and a "kissy" spot on her upper lip. She has some feathering on her fetlocks and a heavy and long mane and tail, with two hind white coronets. We're always learning, especially her. We've been to 4 shows, and will be entering more this summer, plus we'll be learning, and soon showing, english, as well as western and games. We've done very well in our first four shows, of last year and 2002. Just last fall (September 8, 2003) we were in our last show, and recieved our first blues(2!)!! Plus 4 seconds and two thirds!! Can't wait to show again this year!
Whiskey (Whisk) Passed Away 1/24/02
Whiskey is my old Quarter Horse gelding that was just recently sold to Regina in August of 2001. He was a grogeous golden bay with paint markings on his girth area a star, stripe, and snip, and two hind low socks. He was my first horse, and a great one at that. He taught me a lot. He wasn't the type anyone could hop on and ride, but he was still great. I miss him, but at least I know he is okay. Whiskey just passed away on January 24, 2002. Visit his memorial page HERE.
Sweet William("Willie")
Willie is my mothers 16.2hh Standardbred gelding. He used to be raced and used as stud but because of small knee problems he was sold. After that he was gelded and leased. The leasers jumped him and ruined his knees. He has had problems ever since but is slowly recovering for good. Willie is a seal point bay/black. Willie has such a great attitude. A character! He's enjoying semi-retirement. ;) He's verr fuzzy, chubby, and lazy right now, and enjoying the company of a little calf in the neighboring stall. See Willie's pedigree HERE!!!
Loui's April Fool (Poppy) SOLD
Poppy is an Appendix Quarter Horse we purchased April Fools Day of 2002. I worked with him for a while, started him under saddle, and taught him to bow and lie down. We sold him due to some behavior problems we didn't have time or the nerve to deal with this past December, and we just did not have the time he deserved and needed with two other horses. He is in a lovely home in Dexter, with a barn and two acre pasture for himself, and he'll soon have a buddy out there with him. The people who bought him are absolutely wonderful, and are pampering him already. = )
